"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible." ~ T. E. Lawrence
Hello and happy Monday, wonderful people!
I hope your weekends were full and fab. J and I escaped just over the Cascade Mountains for a 3 day getaway with friends. There were 12 of us, all told, and we had such a great time. Plenty of sunshine, the Columbia River to cool down in, and some scrumptious eats.
We made it over to campsite late Thursday night, set our tent up, and hung out with friends into the wee morning hours. Friday was our play day, nothing to do but lounge in the sun, relax, and take a dip in the river when we got too hot. On Saturday, J had his softball tournament and it was roasty toasty out on the ball field! We visited with friends under a shady tree by the river for the afternoon and retired to our campsite for a seriously awesome dinner – I’ll share some of those recipes on an upcoming episode of Tasty Tuesdays. Sunday was a relaxing morning and then time to pack up and go home.
The weekends have been busy in these parts, but this last one was perfect for giving us some down time. I failed to get a lot of great photos but here’s a snap from our Saturday in the park. Next weekend? We’re off to Vancouver for a romantic 3 day escape! Ah, heavenly….
