Dangerously Daydreaming

"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible." ~ T. E. Lawrence

Photo Friday: Sunset Over The San Juans

Today’s photo was taken from one of my favorite bouldering spots near Bellingham: right where the Chuckanut Mountains overlook the sea and the San Juan Islands.  The shore has sections of sandstone rising from the water that we climb along, traversing above the gently lapping waves.  And if you stay long enough on a clear day, you’ll be rewarded with a phenomenal sunset like this.

Why, thank you! It’s such a great spot… definitely one of my happy places.

The San Juans is (are?) one of my favorite places in the world.

They’re quite stunning! Any return trips being planned?

Actually, yes. We’re going to try and get up there this summer. Camp, hike, kayak… and eat a TON of Lopez Island Creamery ice cream.

Mmmm… sounds wonderful! You guys know how to enjoy the northwest. This summer the bf and I are hoping to do a 3 day weekend trip to road bike around one island each day.
